Paid the balance for my US trip with the girls. Insurance, checked. Passport, uh-oh. ESTA, uh-oh. Packing list, double uh-oh. TSA lock, triple uh-oh. ICA, please be nice to me and don't forget my application! :(
Talking about red tape. USA is da champion.
Anyways, I'm getting anxious about getting working clothes. I realise I'd have no time to shop at all when I begin work, and by the time I'm back from the united states the GSS is almost over. Recently when I do window shopping and try on some stuff, I get totally freaked out at how 2d I look. I'm serious, even the shop assistants (mind you, not one but many) exclaim "why are you so skinny", (pardon the language, quotes another) "wah lao even the innermost belt hole is too loose for you".
If you think I think that's a compliment, THINK AGAIN! Imagine the stress you get when sleeveless top don't look good on you, short sleeves reveal your hideous scrawny arms, and pencil skirts don't look the least flattering at all. I don't mind being slim, I mind being scrawny. To be honest, after trying out several pieces of clothing, I realise I'm really skinny. That's not very good :(
If you know of friends who suffer from the same fate as me and have successfully gained weight, please recommend their weight-gaining formulae to me. Arigato gozaimasu! :)
And if you've been to US and would like to recommend some good food-eating places or shopping areas to me, PLEASE let me know k!
On a lighter note, I chanced upon xiaxue's blog after soooooo long. Go read her latest entry on Sticky candies!! IT'S INTRIGUING. I was totally awed by the candy-making process, like I never knew it required brains (yes you must imagine the drawings and lettering in 3d manner) and the tiny candies we put in our mouths all the time are actually originally real fat and gigantic. No joke. I visited Sticky's website and found some of their corporate clients.

hahas and i'm sure you know why i'm posting this particular one

my favourite of the lot, it's so CUTE and creative!!!! :) :)
If you haven't tried any of these candies, head down to Clarke Quay for your first dosage of fun and sweetness! They are a nice-to-have during tutorials/seminars too, I loved to kope them while we were schooling last time.
While we were schooling last time. Hmm. I've graduated.
